CRAIG DATKO
I started photography my freshman year of high school and have taken it every year since then. I enjoyed taking the class and seeing my photography improve with the help of Mrs. Bisby. My favorite thing about photography is being able to explore the world around me and express it through images. Photography has taught me to be patient and to take risks with my work. I prefer digital photography with computer manipulation but on occasion will work with film in the darkroom.
I will be attending Pennsylvania State University in the fall and participating in the Navy ROTC unit. I plan on continuing photography as a hobby and participating in some photography classes even though I will be majoring in Engineering. I know that however things turn out for me, photography will always be an important factor in my life.
CARSON CORIELL
Photography started out for me at a young age. My mom is an artist so I’ve always been exposed to the content, but only recently have I taken it seriously. My first photography class was freshman year here at Broadneck High School with Ms. Bisby (Cartwright). Admittedly the class started as an easy A for me, but progressed into a passion for photography. Throughout the years I have gained a love for photography and a respect for artists. Now that I’m older I plan to attend Anne Arundel Community College in the Fall and continue to pursue my interests in photography. Hopefully, after my first few semesters I will be able to travel abroad and shoot around the world. I don’t know what I’ll do for a career in my life, but I know that photography will always be a passionate hobby of mine.
